Every summer we look forward to your arrival, you are as punctual as swallows in spring time descending the skies, from Béal Feirista, Átha Cliath, Corcaigh agus An tSionainn proudly clad in your county colours.
From Tiobraid Arainn to Muineachán you bring a rainbow of colour to our already bright summers.
In droves you flock to our shores wearing your piece of home.
From Dún na nGall and Cill Mhantain you fill our playas, restaurants, and markets. School’s out, time to chill.
From Ard Mhaca and Port Lairge we spot you in Mercadona and the “old town”.
How could we miss you? But this summer, we will.
You come in all shapes and sizes, young and not so, from Loch Garman to Fear Manach agus Gaillimh to Átha Cliath.
You bring your banter and your craic and a multitude of accents and if we can’t pin-point you, well your county colours will leave us no doubt!
You come with freckles and smiles, cailíní agus buachaillí and leave us with your pride and joy in, your county colours.
We look forward to seeing you, if not this summer, ar an am seo aris!
Le cúnamh Dé.
