The course follows a gradual incline down towards the sea; otherwise it is flat. It has wonderful views, established trees, offering appreciated shade, and the river Rio Real intersecting the course at the sea.
The sixth, a par 3, requires a particularly accurate tee shot to avoid the hillside on the right whilst at the eighth, although not a difficult hole, one must avoid the bunkers that protect a raised green. The dogleg tenth is a pretty par 4 leading to a spectacular eleventh tee which looks down to a green whose access lies across a ravine.
