Some information about La Cala Resort (Europe Course)

As with Campo America and Campo Asia, this course was designed by Cabell B. Robinson. An excellent test, it is the latest addition to the resort and is spread over 108 hectares of land.

A lot of attention went into protecting the surrounding vegetation (lavender, rockrose, rosemary and palmettos can be found all around the course) and as a result, the 6,576 yard layout is as stunning as it is challenging. Great use is made of the Ojen River, which cuts its way through eight of the holes and is a cunning hazard on all of them.

The course is a great example of the modern game, with wide-open fairways and large greens for the high handicappers and some very long holes to test the more able golfer. For example the par 3, 14th measure 254 yards from the back tees and the par 5, 11th measures 573 yards.
