Opened in 2005 the New Course is more forgiving than either of the two existing courses at La Cala. For the young and fit it can be walked.
The course has one of the widest holes in Europe - the 18th at 108 metres wide. The 14th is at the maximum limit of what is allowed for a par 3 at 220 metres.
The Ojen river plays a part in eight holes. It cuts across three fairways, the 6th, 15th and 16th and also runs alongside the 3rd, 5th, 11th, 12th and 13th holes. On the third hole you play accross the river twice.
There is one main bridge that measures 45 metres and four smaller bridges over the river Ojen. The longest hole is the 12th, a par 5 that measures 526 metres.
