We are privileged on the Costa del Sol to have one of the world’s most golf-friendly climates. We boast of having 300 days of sunshine a year with mean temperatures in the mid 20’s centigrade.
The most popular months for golf tourism are, October, November, March, April and May. The summer months offer great value for golfers not because it’s in any way too hot for golf but because demand slackens as golf in Northern Europe comes into its own thus reducing the need to escape to the sun and warmth of Southern Spain.
Golf in the summer months can, in fact, be very pleasant as the Costa Del Sol also benefits from gentle sea breezes ensuring that it never gets too hot.
December, January and February are also excellent golfing months but due to Christmas and various school breaks they are not as busy and subsequently there can be some excellent value in greenfees.
